What age can children start horseback riding lessons?

Children can typically start around 5 years old, depending on size, coordination, and comfort around horses. Safety and readiness are our top priorities, and all young riders are evaluated to ensure a positive and secure experience.

Do I need prior experience to start horseback riding?

No prior experience is required. We welcome complete beginners as well as experienced riders. Lessons are tailored to each rider’s skill level and goals.

How long is each riding lesson, and what does it include?

Lessons are approximately 45–60 minutes and include grooming, tacking, riding instruction, and post-ride care. Riders learn proper horsemanship alongside riding skills to develop confidence, balance, and communication with the horse.

Are helmets and safety gear provided?

Yes. ASTM-approved riding helmets are provided for riders who do not have their own. Riders are welcome to bring their personal helmet if preferred.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee, as lesson times are reserved specifically for each rider. Weather-related changes will be handled case-by-case with safety in mind.
